The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 trailer debuts Eve's ending theme a week before launch
A second trailer released September 25 previews "AIYOU" by Eve and adds Reina Ueda to the cast; the new season starts October 2, with a second cour following in April 2027.
Eve will sing Maomao out of every episode this fall. The second trailer for The Apothecary Diaries Season 3, released on September 25, gave the first listen to his ending song "AIYOU", pairing it with the Yorushika opening that an earlier teaser had already revealed. The season begins on October 2.
One new name in the credits is Reina Ueda, who joins as Bai Niangniang. Behind the scenes the core team is largely unchanged: OLM animates again, Akinori Fudesaka directs with Wataru Nakagawa as his assistant, Norihiro Naganuma oversees the scripts, and the score is once more shared by Satoru Kosaki, Kevin Penkin and Arisa Okehazama. Anime Corner points out that TOHO animation STUDIO does not appear anywhere on this season's staff list.
This is the third TV run for Natsu Hyuga's story, which first appeared on the web novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in October 2011 before its print release with art by Toko Shino. The first season aired in fall 2023 over 24 episodes, and Season 2 followed from January 10 to July 4, 2025. Season 3 is being split in two: after this cour, a theatrical film with an original story by Hyuga opens in Japan on December 11, and the second half of the season is set for April 2027.
