My Sword Saint Master Is Too Cute to Live With! casts Ai Kakuma and Seena Hoshiki in a teaser ahead of its winter 2027 premiere
Wolfsbane and LIGHTBOX's adaptation of Kennoji and R_ringo's training-room romcom has its Sword Saint, her apprentice and five more heroines, a new teaser, and a January 2027 window.
Liza Parsandra can cut down almost anything with a blade, but living with her is another matter. The anime of My Sword Saint Master Is Too Cute to Live With! (Doukyo Shiteiru Kensei no Onna Shishou ga Kawaisugite Mainichi Shiawase desu) introduced its voice cast on October 8 with a teaser video, and is now set for the winter 2027 season, with French outlet AnimOtaku citing the official site for a January start.
Ai Kakuma voices Liza, the celebrated Sword Saint whose household life is far less disciplined than her swordsmanship. Seena Hoshiki plays Eugene, the apprentice who moves in to train under her and wants nothing more than to get stronger, a goal made harder by his teacher's carelessness and constant closeness. The rest of the ensemble is mostly women around the pair: Hitomi Ueda as Cordelia Dawson (she also narrates), Azusa Tsujimori as Erin Toa, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Melis Eclipse, Miyu Tomita as Fiona Rosso and Minami Takahashi as Lumiel Seomeil.
The project has been rolling out in stages. Deregula confirmed the TV anime with a teaser visual in August, and a September update added a key visual and the bulk of the crew. Masayoshi Nishida directs, with animation shared by Wolfsbane and LIGHTBOX. Yohei Kashii writes the scripts, Ichiro Tanaka designs the characters, and 12sound composes the score. Further down the credits, Noriyoshi Sasaki is series technical director, Yusho Hayakawa is chief animation director, and Kazuki Kuwahara runs the sound.
Kennoji writes the original manga and R_ringo draws it; it began on KADOKAWA's web comic service in March 2024, and the second print volume came out in January. Seven Seas, which announced its license in July, will put out the first English volume through the Ghost Ship imprint in June 2027 and markets the book as a sexy rom-com.
A specific broadcast date and station lineup have not been announced yet.
