Assassination Classroom the Movie: Our Time comes to Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on February 17, 2027, with the October 17 reunion event on a second disc
The two-disc release of Lerche's 2026 film, which animated stories the TV series never covered, costs 9,900 yen in either format and adds footage of the anime's "Dosokai no Jikan" special event.
On the same Saturday that the cast of Assassination Classroom gathered for a special event called "Dōsōkai no Jikan" (Class Reunion Time), the film's official account confirmed that the event will be preserved on disc. Assassination Classroom the Movie: Our Time gets its Japanese home-video release on February 17, 2027, and the October 17 reunion fills the set's second disc.
Both disc formats share one price, 9,900 yen with tax, and identical contents. The first disc carries the feature along with accessibility options, namely captions for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers plus a descriptive narration track. Extras there include assembled trailers, an extended director's version of the movie's final stretch, and the title sequences created when the series was rebroadcast. Early copies ship in a special slipcase with a booklet; the official page points out that neither uses newly drawn art. Every buyer also gets a postcard-sized acrylic board from the maker, and the retailers Animate and Rakuten Books, plus a major online store, each offer extra goods such as coasters, photos and a printed mat.
Our Time premiered on March 20, 2026. It was built from all-new animation of episodes from Yusei Matsui's manga that the TV anime never adapted, and Lerche, the studio behind both TV seasons, produced it. Masaki Kitamura, who came up through Sunrise, made his feature directing debut on it, while Makoto Uezu, series composer and writer on the TV anime, wrote the script and Aya Higami designed the characters. Avex Film Labels handled distribution, and Jun Fukuyama as Koro-sensei, Tomokazu Sugita as Karasuma, Mai Fuchigami as Nagisa and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Karma headed a cast carried over from television.
The film closed out a three-part celebration of the anime's tenth anniversary. That run began with a year-long rebroadcast of all 47 TV episodes on Fuji TV and other stations from April 10, 2025, and continued with an All Night Nippon GOLD radio special on August 22, 2025. The two TV seasons originally aired in 2015 and 2016, with 22 and 25 episodes respectively, and Matsui's manga is collected in Shueisha's Jump Comics line.
