Serina Yoshida, whom Anna Yamada affectionately calls "Nyaa," is one of Anna's quieter, more reserved friends. She has a sharp, slightly intimidating gaze that can make her seem unapproachable at first, though her real interests are fairly down to earth: she likes dancing and styling hair, and she is a fan of tough delinquent manga series.
When Kyoutarou Ichikawa first starts getting close to Anna, Serina is skeptical of him, seeing him as unreliable and unsure whether he is good for her friend. Over time, though, she comes around, eventually supporting the relationship and quietly helping nudge Kyotaro toward being honest about his feelings instead of staying stuck in his own head.
Serina's history with the group goes back further than it first appears: she attended elementary school with another classmate, a connection that occasionally surfaces as the wider friend group's history gets filled in. Though she stays mostly in the background compared to Anna's closer friends, Serina's loyalty and honest judgment make her one of the more grounded voices looking out for both Anna and Kyotaro as their relationship develops.

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 continues one of the best-loved romantic comedies of recent years. It is based on the manga by Norio Sakurai, which started in the magazine Weekly Shonen Champion in 2018 and later moved online to Champion Cross. Shin-Ei Animation made the anime, directed by Hiroaki Akagi. This second season has 13 episodes and aired from January to March 2024. The opening song is by Atarayo, and the ending song is by Kohana Lam. The series has a very odd starting point for a love story. Kyotaro Ichikawa is a gloomy, shy middle school boy. He reads books about murder and likes to imagine that he is a dark, dangerous person. In his daydreams, his main target is Anna Yamada, the prettiest and most popular girl in his class. But the real Yamada turns out to be nothing like he thought. She is silly, kind, a little clumsy, and always snacking. Slowly, Ichikawa stops imagining himself as a villain and starts to care about her. The author even calls each chapter a "karte," a word for a doctor's medical chart, to show that Ichikawa is slowly getting better through his time with Yamada. By the start of Season 2, the two are much closer than they were at the beginning. They come back to school after the winter holidays with a stronger bond. Yamada works as a teen model, and she takes on bigger and harder modeling jobs. Ichikawa is changing too. He grows taller, becomes braver, and learns to understand his own feelings instead of hiding them. More and more, they spend time together outside of school, and their friendship slowly turns into something more. The season is about the small, scary steps of first love. Both characters must face a simple question: should they stay just friends, or should they tell each other how they really feel? The show treats these feelings with care and honesty. It is funny, with plenty of awkward moments and silly jokes, but it is also sweet and sometimes very moving. The friends around them, at school and at home, add extra warmth and humor. One reason fans love the show is that it feels real. Instead of big drama, it focuses on tiny moments, like a shared look, a text message, or a walk home. Viewers watch two shy teens learn to trust each other, and it is easy to cheer for them. Season 2 was a big success. It held the top spot for its whole season on the fan voting sites Anime Corner and Anime Trending, and it was nominated for Best Romance and Best Slice of Life at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The manga ended in September 2026 after 13 books. A movie came out in February 2026, and a third TV season has been announced for 2027. Season 2 is best enjoyed after watching Season 1 first.
