About
This follow-up continues a fantasy romantic comedy about a demon who falls for a hero's friend. The first run aired in winter 2026 on Japanese television, with 13 episodes made by the studio Gekkou under director Tomonori Mine. MyAnimeList lists this sequel as a TV series and notes that it is in production. The sources I checked gave no plot for the new episodes, so this overview does not describe them.
What can be said is what the series is about. Youki is a man who dies in a traffic accident and is born again in a fantasy world. He becomes a demon, and an extremely strong one. He does not want power or rank. He works as a low-ranked guard in the castle of the Demon Lord, the ruler of all demons. When a party of heroes attacks the castle, Youki beats them all, heals them, and then falls in love at first sight with their priestess, Cecilia Aquaraine. A priestess is a holy healer who supports the group with magic.
The central idea is the problem that follows. Youki is on the demon side, and Cecilia fights demons. His wish to confess his love is very sincere, but it is not simple for a demon to talk with a hero. The series uses this to make light, warm comedy. Youki is mighty, but he is also kind and awkward about his feelings. Cecilia is a gentle person who has no idea how much a monster has been thinking of her.
In Japanese, Cecilia is voiced by Kana Hanazawa, and Youki is voiced by Kouhei Amasaki. Other characters in the first run include Happiness, Miller, Raven, Sophia, Gar, Yuuga, and Clayman. The story comes from a light novel and manga series, with credits to Suisei, La-Na, and Kairi.
Because this is a sequel, it is best to watch the first season before it. The series keeps the mood of a friendly, easy comedy with a love story in the center, in a world of magic, castles, and monsters.
