Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun announces its first theatrical film
A project video shown at the DEVIL'S PARTY! 2 event in Tokyo on September 27 revealed the franchise's first movie, which appears set to tell a new story.
Seven years after its TV debut, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is heading to theaters. A video unveiled on September 27 during DEVIL'S PARTY! 2, a stage event at Nippon Engineering College Arena in Tokyo, announced the anime's first film project. Neither a release date nor a studio has been attached yet, though the video suggests the movie will be an original story rather than a retelling.
The announcement was light on details by design, if creator Osamu Nishi is to be taken at his word: "I've been told by the people around me not to say anything..." he said in his comment. Ayumu Murase, the voice of Iruma Suzuki, offered a teaser of his own, saying "I think it's going to develop into something that makes you wonder, 'What's going to happen!?'"
The TV series premiered on NHK Educational in October 2019, with further seasons arriving in April 2021 and October 2022. Its fourth season, which Crunchyroll streams with Makoto Moriwaki as chief director, Ayaka Tsujihashi directing and Bandai Namco Pictures animating, began in Spring 2026. A separate TV spin-off, Mairimashita! Iruma-kun: If Episode of Mafia, is listed for Winter 2027.
Nishi's manga runs in Weekly Shonen Champion and reached its 50th volume on September 8, 2026.
