Saga of Tanya the Evil celebrates its 10th anniversary with a first-ever film concert in March 2027
Kadokawa will stage two shows at Ota Civic Hall Aprico in Tokyo on March 20, 2027, pairing a live ensemble with footage from both TV seasons and the 2019 film, plus live voice acting from Aoi Yuki and co-stars.
Major Tanya Degurechaff is trading the battlefield for a concert stage. To mark ten years since her story first reached television, Saga of Tanya the Evil will hold its debut film concert on Saturday, March 20, 2027, in Kamata, Tokyo, at Ota Civic Hall Aprico, under Kadokawa's banner.
The idea is simple: scenes from the saga are projected big while musicians play the score and the vocal tracks in real time. The retrospective reaches across everything so far, with clips drawn from season one, the 2019 movie and this summer's sequel series. Two sittings are planned, at 2:15 p.m. (doors 1:30) and 6:00 p.m. (doors 5:15). Each should last roughly an hour and a half to two hours, and parts of the staging will not be identical between them.
In the room
Four cast members will voice their characters live over the projected scenes. Aoi Yuki, who plays Tanya, heads that group, alongside Daiki Hamano (Weiss), Yusuke Kobayashi (Grantz) and Haruka Tomatsu (Mary Sue). The bill also names Team-MAX's Shuji Katayama, who wrote the music, and MYTH & ROID, the unit that recorded songs for both the TV show and the movie.
Ten years at war
The adaptation debuted in January 2017 with a 12-episode run that AniList tags as action and fantasy. A theatrical sequel arrived in February 2019, and a long-awaited second season, twelve more episodes, started on July 8, 2026; AniList now lists it as finished.
How to get in
Seats are allocated by lottery. Round one accepts entries from September 24 through October 4, with winners notified October 6; round two opens October 16 and closes October 25, with results on October 27. A regular A seat is 9,900 yen, an A seat with bonus goods 13,200 yen, and the S seat, goods included, 16,500 yen. The bonus is an original metal charm whose design depends on whether you attend the matinee or the evening show.
