Re:ZERO Season 4 will close with a 45-minute finale on September 30
Episode 19, the last of the Recapture Arc cour, runs roughly double length and streams on Crunchyroll alongside its Japanese broadcast.
Forty-five minutes: that is how long Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 will take to say goodbye. The official account confirmed that episode 19, airing Wednesday, September 30, gets an extended slot, about twice a regular episode's length. Crunchyroll will stream it as it debuts in Japan.
The finale caps a season split into two uneven halves. An 11-episode first cour, the Loss Arc, ran in spring; the summer continuation, subtitled The Recapture Arc, ends after just eight. Along the way Subaru's group traveled to a tower in the desert in search of a way to undo what Gluttony's power did to Rem. Masahiro Shinohara directs at WHITE FOX, with Kenichiro Suehiro on music.
The spring half picked up 19 awards in its season, and the show sat second in the most recent weekly ranking after episode 18. Adapted from Tappei Nagatsuki's light novels, the anime first aired in 2016; Season 3 followed in Fall 2024. The franchise is marking its 10th anniversary this year with what it has billed as "10 major projects".
