P.A. Works' Dive in Wonderland gets a one-night U.S. theatrical run on November 16
Crunchyroll will screen Toshiya Shinohara's Alice in Wonderland film in U.S. theaters for one night only through its Crunchyroll Anime Nights program.
American audiences get a single evening to see Dive in Wonderland (Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland-) on a big screen. Crunchyroll has booked the film into U.S. cinemas for November 16 and no other date, under its Crunchyroll Anime Nights banner, and a trailer promoting the screening is up on YouTube.
The film reimagines Lewis Carroll's Alice books through a present-day lead. Rise Azumino, a college student adrift about her future, finds a letter her late grandmother left behind and follows it into Wonderland, where she meets Alice and the pair wander among its odd inhabitants. Nanoka Hara voices Rise opposite Maika Pugh's Alice; the supporting ensemble includes Toshiyuki Morikawa and Kappei Yamaguchi.
Toshiya Shinohara directed at P.A. Works from a screenplay by Yūko Kakihara; kotringo composed the score and SEKAI NO OWARI performs the theme song, "Zukan."
The U.S. date comes more than a year after the Shochiku-distributed film opened in Japan on August 29, 2025, timed to Carroll's 160th anniversary. It has since screened in parts of Europe and in Taiwan, and came out on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan in March 2026.
