Kenichi Suzumura's talent agency Intention will dissolve on March 31, 2027, citing his health
The voice actor founded the agency in 2009 and serves as its representative director. A doctor advised that his adjustment disorder will not improve while he keeps running the company; its talent will be managed as usual until the end of March.

Intention, the voice talent agency that Kenichi Suzumura set up in 2009, is closing. A notice dated October 13 on its official website sets the last day of the company's existence at March 31, 2027.
The reason is Suzumura's health. The actor, who heads the agency as its representative director, has been diagnosed with adjustment disorder, and the notice explains that a doctor judged his condition cannot improve while he stays tied up in running the business. Intention called the move "a painful decision" (as translated by Anime.com) and apologized to fans for the sudden news and the concern it may cause.
Nothing changes for the agency's clients in the meantime: Intention says it will keep handling their work as normal through the end of March, and has pledged to give its talent "the utmost support for their future activities." Its roster, per Anime.com, takes in Yuma Uchida, Nao Toyama, Yuichi Nakamura, Ayaka Asai, Kazuhiro Nakaya, Aya Endo and Shoya Ishige. The notice does not say where any of them will go next.
Suzumura, the voice of Obanai Iguro in the Demon Slayer anime, has stepped back from work twice in recent years. Health problems first took him off the job in May 2024, for roughly two months, and he took another break starting in February 2026 before easing back into voice work from June.
