April 2027 is now the target for Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent. A teaser released on September 30 pinned down the premiere month and gave the romcom its first voices: Hiroto Shimizu plays the bespectacled Dan Ichikura, Suzuko Hara plays Hiro Momose, and Yuma Tomochika voices a character called Ohana-chan.

The series will air in the Animazing!!! programming block, which runs nationwide on the ANN network with ABC Television and TV Asahi among its stations.

The premise is a simple reversal. Momose transfers into a high school chosen partly because it has no delinquent problem, then gets roped into the Support Club, whose only other member is her quiet, glasses-wearing classmate Ichikura. When he steps in to rescue her from a troublemaker, she learns he was a delinquent himself back in junior high. She promises to keep his history to herself, and the pair grow closer from there.

Studio Flad and Wao World are animating, with Makoto Hoshino directing, Megumi Shimizu handling series composition and Ruriko Watanabe designing the characters. That lineup was first shared in August, months after the adaptation was announced on April 23, 2026.

Naruki's manga has an unusual history. It debuted in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend on January 13, 2021, but ended that September after only two volumes. Reader demand brought it back to the same magazine on June 13, 2022, and it has continued since, reaching eleven volumes as of May 2026. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English edition, which began on January 14, 2025.
