Draw This, Then Die! will return for a second season
Right after its 12th and final episode aired on September 25, the manga-creation comedy confirmed that Season 2 is in production, though no window, staff or cast has been given.
The finale of Draw This, Then Die! (Kore Kaite Shine) went out in Japan on September 25, and the production followed it with one more reveal: the comedy is coming back. Its X account confirmed that a follow-up season is underway, posting fresh artwork of heroine Ai Yasumi, and the homepage now sports a banner for the sequel. Creator Minoru Toyoda marked the moment with a message admitting he never imagined things would go this far.
The hook is craft rather than combat. Ai is a teenager from Izu Oshima who devours comics until one turning point pushes her to start plotting and drawing stories herself. Akira Sekine plays her, and Saori Hayami appears as Rei Teshima, one of the adults guiding her. Hiroaki Akagi helmed the twelve-episode opening run at Shin-Ei Animation, working from scripts overseen by Hiroko Fukuda and designs by Takekazu Segawa, while Toyoda's comic continues in Shogakukan's Gessan.
Viewers outside Japan can catch up on Crunchyroll across North America, the British Isles, Oceania and dozens more regions; Netflix streams it in Japan, South Korea and other Asian markets.
Anyone hoping for a date will have to wait. The news arrived with no window attached, and nobody has yet been named for the new season's staff or cast.
