Clayman gets his own TV anime in April 2027 as Slime Season 4 sets part 3 for July
The Clayman REVENGE spin-off comes from 8bit with Takehito Koyasu back as the demon lord, while the main series' fourth season resumes with its third cour in July 2027.
The demon lord Rimuru crushed during the Walpurgis council is getting a second chance on screen. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman REVENGE, the spin-off manga drawn by Wataru Kajika from Fuse's original story, will air as a TV anime starting in April 2027, and Takehito Koyasu returns to voice Clayman.
The news broke on September 25 with a collaboration video starring Rimuru and Clayman, released after the second cour of Season 4 wrapped. That same video set July 2027 for the third cour of Season 4, which the production has said will run across five cours in total. A teaser visual for the spin-off was published alongside it.
In the manga, which runs in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius, Clayman's defeat throws him seventy years back in time, and the story follows the different route his life takes from there. Studio 8bit, the house behind every season of the main series, is producing the adaptation with Kentaro Sugimoto directing; Asumi Hashimoto and Hideki Sakai share the character design duties.
8bit's Slime anime began in October 2018, came back for a split second season in 2021 and a third season that ended in September 2024. The franchise also includes the 2022 film Scarlet Bond. Fuse's light novel series, illustrated by Mitz Vah, finished in November 2025 with its 23rd volume, while the TV anime follows Taiki Kawakami's manga version.
