Shirogane Noel plays the role of a knight in this series of comedy shorts, built around her real identity as a VTuber, a performer who streams online using an animated on-screen character. In the sketches, she comes across as easygoing most of the time, but she has a running gag of trying to solve basically every problem using raw muscle power, an approach that fits her self-described image as a strong, slightly dim-witted knight.
Despite her tough exterior, Noel's fans, affectionately organized under the nickname "Order of Shirogane," see her as warm and approachable, someone who takes her knightly fantasy seriously even while playing it for laughs. The joke of the series leans on that contrast: a character built around strength and swagger who still somehow ends up in the same ridiculous situations as everyone else in the cast.
She appears alongside fellow hololive performers Watame Tsunomaki and Mio Ookami, whose own established quirks play off Noel's muscle-first attitude for quick comedic contrast. Rather than following a connected story, the series uses each VTuber's real-life persona, in Noel's case, a knight who'd rather flex than think, to build short, self-contained jokes aimed at an audience already familiar with these streamers.
On screen

Watame Did Borderline Nothing Wrong is a set of tiny animated comedy clips starring Tsunomaki Watame, a VTuber from hololive. A VTuber is an online entertainer who streams and makes videos as an animated character instead of showing their real face. Hololive Production makes the clips, and they appear on Watame's own channel. The first one came out on January 7, 2022, and new ones have kept coming out weekly on Fridays since then. Each clip is very short, around 20 seconds long. Watame is part of hololive's fourth group of Japanese talents, and she made her debut on December 29, 2019. Her character is a sheep girl with curly horns, and her fans are called Watamates. She is best known for her singing. She sings covers, puts out her own songs, and holds a regular singing stream on weekend nights. One of her big dreams is to perform at the Budokan, a famous concert hall in Tokyo. The original designs for this short series are credited to Fuumi and Watao. The joke of the show is in its name. In Japanese, the title is Girigiri Warukunai Watame, which means something like "Watame is just barely not in the wrong." In each clip, Watame looks like she has done something bad or silly. Then the short twists things so that, maybe, it is not really her fault. Often the blame is turned toward someone else, like her fans. Each clip stands alone, so there is no ongoing story to follow, and a viewer can start anywhere. The humor is quick and silly, and it often plays with the fact that Watame is a VTuber. The clips use full 3D computer animation, and they sometimes go to strange places, with things like aliens and giant robots. Other hololive members drop in from time to time. These include Shirakami Fubuki, Nekomata Okayu, Sakura Miko, Oozora Subaru, Shishiro Botan, Ookami Mio, and Omaru Polka, as well as Ninomae Ina'nis and Mori Calliope from hololive's English branch. The early clips were first made in a tall, phone-screen shape. Later, the first 21 were put back out in a wide screen form, joined together into 8 longer videos. There is also a special episode that asks who the best girl is. For fans of hololive, these quick clips are an easy and fun way to enjoy Watame's playful, slightly mischievous side.
