This is the second season of the anime known in English as With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess. Its Japanese title is Kizu darake Seijo yori Houfuku wo Komete. It began airing on October 2, 2026, about a year after the first season, which ran from July to September 2025. Like the first season, it is made by the studios IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio. A new director, Saya Fukase, took over from Chisaki, who led season one. The episodes are short, at around fourteen and a half minutes each, so the story moves quickly. The anime is based on a manga written by Aminohada and drawn by Sorajima. It first came out as a webtoon, a comic made to be read by scrolling on a phone, and it began running online in August 2022. The publisher Ichijinsha later printed it in book form under its Comic Lake label. The story takes place in the fantasy kingdom of Zied. The people there honor Luche, a goddess known for healing, and the powerful Temple of Luche plays a big part in the life of the country. The main character is Rua Restoat, a young noblewoman with a rare gift. She can heal the injuries of others, but there is a painful cost. To heal someone, she has to take their pain into her own body. Because of this, Rua is the "broken saintess" of the title. A saintess, in stories like this, is a holy woman blessed with special powers by a god. Rua's life is turned upside down by someone she trusted. Her best friend, Arianne Treviers, takes the credit for a miracle that Rua performed when she healed a knight. Arianne is praised as a savior, while Rua is left hurt and ignored. Rua does not simply accept this. She teams up with Sven Zied-Crown, the second prince of the kingdom, who has his own reasons to look into what is really going on. Together they work to expose a plot by the High Priest, a top leader of the temple, who is scheming to take power for himself. The second season continues Rua's story as she keeps working with Prince Sven and fights back against the people who used her. The show mixes a revenge story with court and church politics, romance, and a quiet, steady heroine who suffers a lot but refuses to break. Much of the tension comes from lies and secrets, and from the question of who can really be trusted. Fans of villainess and revenge stories set in fantasy kingdoms, where a wronged young woman slowly turns the tables on her enemies, will find a lot to enjoy. Viewers who are new to the series should watch the first season first, since this one picks up right where it left off.
