Eliane

Because I, the True Saint, Was Banished, That Country Is Done For! is the English name of this fantasy romance. It began as a light novel and was later also turned into a manga. The TV anime comes from Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab, a studio based in Akita in northern Japan, and it is directed by Tsukasa Sakurai. It is planned to start in January 2027. The show belongs to a popular type of story often called "banished saint" or "villainess" fantasy. In these stories, a young woman with real power is pushed out by a foolish royal family, and the people who betrayed her slowly learn how much they needed her. Viewers enjoy seeing the heroine build a better life while her old home pays for its mistake. The heroine is Eliane. In her kingdom, a saint is a holy woman whose special magic protects the land. Eliane has quietly done this work for years, keeping up magic walls that guard the country from danger. Most people have no idea how much she does for them. One day, Crown Prince Claude, who is engaged to marry her, suddenly breaks off the engagement in front of others. He calls her a fake and says that another woman, Leticia, is the true saint. Eliane knows the real reason: Claude has been seeing Leticia behind her back. He then throws Eliane out of the kingdom. Eliane does not cry or beg. In fact, she is happy to be free of him. She leaves for a neighboring country, ready to start fresh and live a calm life of her own. There she meets Nigel, a sincere and honest man who is the complete opposite of the selfish Claude. A new and gentler romance begins between them. Meanwhile, back home, the kingdom has lost the one person who was really protecting it. Without Eliane's barriers, trouble is on its way, and Claude's foolish choice starts to come back to bite him. The series mixes fantasy, romance, and light comedy. Its fun comes from the contrast between Eliane's peaceful new life and the growing chaos she left behind. Fans of stories where a wronged heroine finds kindness, love, and a little justice should look forward to this one.
